​Growing up, nobody ever told me it was okay to feel things out loud, especially not as a man. You learn early to hold it in. To carry it. To keep moving. You don’t put it down in front of anybody.

For a long time, I didn’t.

​Then I lost almost everything I thought I had, and I reached a point where I had no choice. I could either sink into everything I was carrying or find somewhere to put it. I put it on canvas.

Painting became the one place where I could let everything out without judgment, without explanation, without having to find the right words. Just color, movement, texture, and emotion saying the things I couldn’t.

Every piece I create is proof that I made it through something. Industrial Romance is no different. I believe you get out what you put in. So, before this work could ever mean something to someone else, it had to mean everything to me first.
