What is Splash?
Splash (Spreading Possibilities Letting Art Support & Help) is a program designed to assist within the stages of social and cognitive development. The program is structured to be led by the individual and/or participant, allowing free reign within subject matter, to openly express their perceptions, outlooks, and thoughts visually. We encourage self-empowerment by providing opportunities for participants to choose and make decisions based on their own ideas; which also helps enhance self-identity. Within the Splash environment, we promote self-love and self-respect by providing a positive, safe and nurturing atmosphere. Participants will build their confidence and self-esteem; while using the exploration of creative art processes to help discover the endless possibilities of self-expression.
Our Mission
To provide an alternative means of expression through art. Participants are provided with opportunities to create artwork that conveys their own ideas and life perspectives; while continuing to learn and grow to value their creative processes. The program is designed to enhance participants’ self-expression through personal art-making and self-reflecting, by providing a safe, nurturing, creative space for each participant.
Our Vision
To enhance participants' comfort level of one's self, by providing an environment that fosters the exploration of self-awareness, which brings new connections to self, others, and their environment; To encourage self-advocacy by providing opportunities for participants to make decisions based on their interest and ideas. Within each session, we hope to enhance lives through creativity and discovery.
Splash has worked with an array of organizations since 2016. These organizations include, but are not limited to, Pre-K, Elementary, Middle-High School, Special Education, Adult and Family living facilities, etc. As we continue to grow we strive to expand the support of creative expression and self-empowerment.
